Knoll

Founded by Hans Knoll in 1938, it exports furniture for homes and offices all over the world. It is also one of the leading brands in industrial design, thanks to the masterpieces of some designers such as Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Harry Bertoia, Florence Knoll, Frank Gehry, Maya Lin, and Eero Saarinen. The fame and prestige of this brand have led many art galleries to request the possibility of exhibiting the most iconic products. In fact, more than 30 design pieces, branded Knoll, are exhibited at the Museum of Modern Arts in New York. In 1953, the company released the production rights of the Barcelona collection by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, designed for the universal exhibition in Barcelona in 1929. In 1956, the company commissioned Eero Saarinen to design the Tulip collection consisting of tables and chairs. Knoll holds the production rights for various models designed by Marcel Breuer, including the Wassily Chair.
