Moooi

Moooi was born in 2001 from the union of two designers, Marcel Wanders and Casper Vissers. The word "Mooi," translated from Dutch, means "beautiful," and the third "O" used in the brand name reinforces the meaning, hinting that Moooi is much more than beautiful. The eclectic style of Moooi takes up the character of the founder Marcel Wanders, usually over the top and very critical of traditional design.
With special attention to fashion, Moooi reinterprets the concept of furniture, making the rooms unique and unusual. In addition to the duo of Dutch designers, many other unconventional designers have contributed to the international growth of the brand, including Bertjan Pot, Jasper Morrison, and Nika Zupanc.
Among the most famous design pieces, Dear Ingo is the one that most reveals the inspiration and nonconformity of this brand combined with functionality: a lamp that recalls the shapes of a spider, thanks to different lampshades that can be oriented in every corner surrounding environment, granting homogeneous lighting.
